Artemide Tizio – Lámpara de mesa

I would buy this product again.

Beautiful, classic lines, moving sculpture, and, it's a desk lamp!

I love this lamp! I love looking at it as well as the light it provides.

These Beautiful Lamps Have not Aged Well

This is the third black Tizio lamp I have bought over roughly forty years (they do wear out eventually), and this newest version is just not the same as its forbears. Call it je ne sais quoi, but something is missing. Besides the obvious, like the lack of a rotating dimmer switch - unless you buy the LED version with a disposable shade/light source in this age of conservation - the lamp has lost an element of grace. By comparison, it feels clunky, and the original matte finish, if it were wine, has glossy undertones. Is Artemide losing its way with the Tizio lamp - perhaps taking its success for granted and churning it out more like hardware than art now that it has achieved icon status? Pity.

I certainly would buy this product again.

We have had these lamps since 1982 and think them wonderful. I use them as bedside reading lamps. Best design ever..

Sleek!

This lamp is exactly what I was looking for, sleek sturdy and a substantial size. It looks incredibly sharp in my office. Worth the money!

For my purpose as a light on a bedroom side cabinet, this is better than the original, which I used for 30+ years. When the transformer on my old Tizio burned out and I needed a replacement light, I shopped around to see if there was something I preferred and there wasn't. Nonetheless, I thought I would try the mid-sized 35 rather than the original. It is perfect for a bedside surface. Still aimable and well balanced, it doesn't require as much space for turning so it's perfect in the position it is occupying.

I have 4 other Tizio Lamps purchased over many years. Four on the Artemide associated pedestals. This purchase was to replace one that was damaged, broken connector at the end of the lamp wand, (I am still trying to find a repair for It in hopes of salvaging the lamp). It is very difficult to repair/service these lamps.

Broke after 18 months

Looks cool but it broke after 18 months, and the warranty is only 1 year.
